Sorry if this has been discussed...I am considering a Premium economy flight in December. Has anybody flown this class? Is it worth the extra money? If you book this class do you get access to lounges?

Hemmp Bonzz,

No one has ever yet flown long haul Premium Eco on AF since it is a brand new product.
AFAIK, you do not get access to the lounge. But as your profile states you are PM with Delta, that should be fine enough.

I thought it was pretty much brand new...I guess I'm wondering if anybody has inside info on them...Seatguru, interestingly, has uploaded AF's A380 seat configuration, but does not seem to have uploaded the 772 with premium voyageur. Do you happen to know if the Affaires seats on this config are lie flat? Like the lounge question, I am travelling with others....trying to figure out if it is worth the hassle getting them on Premium, my wife and I in Affaires for this trip.

All AF biz seats are lie-flat, with an approx 5° angle to horizontal.

Ah, thanks...that 5 deg off, though...I think that's what I meant...DL doesn't run a true lie flat on this route, so I was looking for the next best thing...I guess this is it.

Well, I am not a trigonometrics expert and I have not tried Delta B/E recently so I could not tell which of the 2 is the best. Probably the Delta board is more informed.

really , 5° ? no, much more. The feeling of the seats which don't have a feet step is about 15° in the first configuration of new cabins. Not very comfortable. The other ones are better and make an angle about 7 or 10 °
BUT they are NOT considered as a real lie-flat at 180°. See your own experience or seatguru.com for example.

Now, that's curious...This topic I started got moved from Flying Blue to frequence plus board...this has been terminated, no? I guess this board is used for topics that only apply to the Air France while Flying Blue is for those that apply to KLM as well?

Frequence Plus board is actually the AF related one.

To add to Bodory's reply:

- Flying Blue is the board for issues and discussion about the frequent flyer programme jointly used by AF and KL (and UX, ...)

It has two children:

- The Frequence Plus board, named after AF's former programme, for all issues/discussion about AF
- The Flying Dutchman, named after KL's former programme, for all items related to KL

Cheers,

His baby bed come out immédiately with ornaments, in silver, ivory, gold and even platinum !! unfortunately, with the age, in th end of his 3rd year, it appears he got some disease, or genetic problem whic appeared only at this moment, even some signs, 6 months before should alert more ! What happend ? who knows that exactly ? In anyway, sundenly, after april 1st, his growing stopped. A pity : parents didn't really care of their suffering child ! Relatives came to have a look, even foreigners, gave some advice, wrote many letters to the parents; now way, they didn't move at all. Normal people would be jailed for surch a treatment, but, here, no policemen controlled what happend.Since then, the baby lost already a lot of weight, day after day. At the same time, they removed from his alimenation all supposed bad things, over a validity date of 20 months. Some adviced doctors said move him in a more beatifull room, more space more luxury .Now, everybody is waiting how his heath problems can be solved or not.

To the OP, if you look in the thread started by Flyiboy in this forum 9/23, you will find a link to the AF pages on the new service with quite a lot of details. I am looking forward to trying it myself in the near future, especially as I did not find the Affaires lie-flat-but-not-really-flat-at-all very comfortable on a recent trip, so I'm hoping the new PE recliner may be nearly as good as that for at least a few hours' sleep LAX-CDG -- and, as I'll be paying out of my own pocket, at a fraction of the cost of Affaires. However, I doubt they'll have it very widely installed and available in time for your December travel, I guess if they confirm it for you on your itin then that means it is available for you. Good luck and let us know how it worked if you do get it.
