Hello every body..
Welcome to my new thread.
As I always like to share my problems and suggestions with my friends here is also a problem.
One of my friends is going to marry in near future. He is searching for a romantic destination within Australia for his honeymoon purpose.
If anyone have any Idea please suggest...

What time of year will this honeymoon be? Lots of places in Australia that are quite romantic at one time of year can be cold or sweltering at other times.

Sydney itself can be quite romantic if you can afford to stay in a good hotel with harbour views. Not recommended in mid-winter (not very cold but often damp and it can be unpleasant) or probably in mid-January to mid-March.
In the northern winter, the area north of Cairns or the Whitsundays can be wonderful. Avoid it in the southern summer (the wet season in far north Queensland) because it is humid and stormy and horrible then.
May a driving tour of Tasmania, especially if they like good food. (Avoid in the winter months, good in high summer.)
The Barossa and the Flinders Rangers (not in high summer).
A lot depends on what their interests are, I expect...

What is the budget is the other question.
There are the "typical" romantic places like the beach destinations in Queensland. But then of course there are other great places which can have their own romance like the wine regions, Uluru, Kangaroo Island, Lord Howe etc.

Just remind your friend that the location for a proposal can be a handy place to revisit; if it's somewhere like a romantic location in Sydney or NZ then it will be easier to return in future. :)
There are many romantic spots in Sydney and Melbourne (and everywhere else); it's just a matter of finding the right time.
It may not be unusual, but a dinner at a top restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne might be ideal. Just another option (from someone who did it in the opposite direction, on a cruise in Hawaii ).

Thanks everybody,
For your valuable suggestions......
I am really thankful to all of you for your suggestions; especially Christopher's reply will be very helpful to me.
But friends I am thinking about the Sunrise Beach, is not it romantic?

It really depends on the time of year. In the peak of summer I would be avoiding QLD if I was you because it gets unbearably hot IMO.
If you are keen on beaches I would consider a drive along great ocean road, around Tassie, or possibly the south coast of NSW over QLD in summer. Of course if it is winter when you are there QLD is probably a better option.

Not just hot, but very humid and also wet and stormy.

Wilson's Prom. Not far from Melbourne but a world away, very pristine, beautiful and isolated. Truly world class natural beauty and good year round. Some stunning tent cabins are available for rent there that would be ideal for a honeymoon (not cheap, these cabins are in the AUD 300 per night range, but well worth it).

IMHO Cape Tribulation, juxtapose the rainforest and the ocean...
And have a look at the Thala Beach Lodge.

Cape Tribulation was also the place which popped into my mind. The hotels up there weren't the absolute best, but it is a little bit of relatively unspoiled paradise...and very romantic.
