Just come across an article(*1) reporting in Japan Toshiba has started to sell limited 3000 sets of mobile Fuel Cell chargers for iPods, PSPs and Nintendo DSs. It says this is the world first portable fuel cell charger product.
The price is 29800 JPY, or 330 USD.
Methanol cartridge is 3,150 JPY. (5 x 50cc cartridge)
Though it is prohibited to bring the methanol cartridge onto a plane, you can bring the methanol loaded charger itself there (*2). The charger fully loaded with 14cc methanol can charge 800mAh batteries x 2 .
