Virgin America Elevate - Upgrade to Main Cabin Select $200 coast to coast?

I'm trying to upgrade from Main Cabin to Main Cabin Select since all the First Class are gone. This is within the 24 hour check-in time and before checking in, I see the price is at $200 instead of $100.

I can think of three possibilities for the price jump.

Is it because I used the 2-for-1 coupon I got the Giants game so they're not giving me any benefits for upgrading?
Or maybe it's because it's almost completely booked and they're charging more with only 2 Select seats left?
Or it's because the price reflects for 2 people not one?

It's because there are two of you. Call VX and ask them to split the reservation, if you only want to upgrade one of you.
