Hi Guys,

I'm going to use CSA for the first time to fly to a snowboarding vacation (TLV-PRG-ZRH-PRG-TLV).

I checked, and it seems that this is the first airline that is going to charge me for the snowboard (EU10 per leg for oversized baggage).
Other airlines I used never charged extra for ski equipment.

It's not a big sum (EU20 in total) but it's irritating: have you any advice on how to avoid this charge for checking in a snowboard from Tel Aviv to Zurich on Czech Airlines ?

Thanks,
Ron.

CSA has been enforcing rules on overweight/oversized lugagge quite seriously for the last few weeks. Especially in Prague I see big discussions at check-in. I also saw some people buying extra kilos in Munich fairly recently. Of course they do everything to generate some extra revenue currently - so I do not give you a big chance. But mamaybe they do not have their own personnel in TLV and then you might slip through. I wouldnt give you a lot of chance on the Swiss side.
