Asiana Club - First time on OZ - seating question

Hoping to travel in C class soon on a redemption *A ticket to Malaysia from LHR via ICN. Have never travelled on OZ before, and wondering how C class product/seats compare with my alternative choice of TG via BKK?
I'm going with my wife and don't particularly like the idea of getting 2 of the 3 centre seats on the 777. Will it be possible to book 2 side seats, or are these generally blocked for redemption passengers?
Last question - how comfortable are C seats on OZ's A321 for a 4-5 hour sector?
Really appreciate any advice or comments. Thank you.

Can't help with the long haul questions... but I have flown MNL-ICN on the little Airbus and found it quite comfortable... had row 1 and teh legroom seemed fine... then again I am NOT tall! If I remember I'll dig up some photos for you when I get home....:D
That flight was "overnight".. 11:50pm to 4:40 am-ish but there was still a very nice meal served, and excellent service all round.. (Only flown on OZ twice - both times in C - and the food/service were excellent both times)

I would rather choose TG over OZ if flying on C class just for the 30min foot/shoulder massage at the Royal Orchid Spa lounge in BKK. ^

A 30 minute massage wouldn't make me give up the OZ service. Just my $0.02.

Little hope of side seats unless you join Asiana club, I'm afraid.
The product is miles better than TG, in my view. Service is excellent, food good and the 777 seats work fine for me at 6 ft 1.
You MAY be able to get side seats at check-in but often they're taken up by single Korean pax who are club members and who can book online.
OTOH it's worth ringing OZ in London to ask about seat assigments- it's worked for me in the past.
I don't think the 321's are refurbished- if not, the seats are golden-oldie with 45 deg recline- I know they're not the best but have slept on them from LHR to ICN in the past. The service should make up for the seats.
If they are refurbd then they're excelent for that duration.

Just join Asiana Club for each of you, get the PNR's when you book and you can select seats online. The website is kinda weird for selecting seats but it works as I was able to select seats on two ANA award tickets that I booked for me and my as a trial run on OZ because they actually have flights with decent connection times to HGH. We were able to select two side seats on the 767 and 777 back to LAX.

The A321 is a single aisle plane with three rows of 2-2 seating in C. I don't think it has the range to fly LHR-ICN, so you must be thinking of a different plane. Anyways, they have not been refurbished. The seats are not really that comfortable for trying to sleep on in my opinion. They have very limited recline, no where near 45 degrees. If you get a seat in the first row, there is a leg/foot rest that extends out comes out from bottom of your seat. It provides leg support, but I don't particularly care for the limited legroom with the bulkhead in front of you. The other two rows have just foot rests that pull down from the seat in front of you, with no leg supports. If given the option, I would pick any OZ plane in C over their A320/A321s.

Speaking of business seating OZ 360 on 11/11 has been down-gauged from 763 to a 321 :td:

No, of course not on 321!
My post referred to the SEATS not the plane!

OZ are great!
If not available, TG will do nicely - I fly both all the time in C. Either way, enjoy your redemption!
