I noticed a thread like this on the SQ forum which was originally started by Kiwi Flyer, and thought what's good enough for SQ is good enough for TG.
How many destinations / routes have you flown on TG? The following is a list I compiled of all possible TG routes/destinations. Please feel free to add/correct any mistakes in current or previous TG (non-codeshare) destinations/routes. I'm sure I'm unaware of a lot of discontinued routes from the past. I've considered BKK at the old site (Don Muang) and at the new site (Suvarnabhumi) to be the same airport if flown when the same BKK code was used. If flying into/out of Don Muang when the DMK code was active, I consider it a different airport from BKK.

I see you've done quite a lot of flying on TG also. I didn't realize TG used to fly to SEA and even to DFW! I added those to the master list.

I'll provide my list later.
But not on your list, under discontinued international, "not from BKK" category (or DMK for that matter), I have flown routes:
SIN-HDY-SIN TG441/442 (Singapore-Hat Yai) in 1985 - type probably an A300-400 or perhpas A310.
SYD-AKL-SYD TG991/992 B747 until Dec 2005.

TG flew to DFW via SEA from 1980 to 1988. And TG changed DFW via SEA to YYZ via SEA. Plane was changed 742 to 313 at SEA.
Hi A Lee, just noticed this thread and will compile a list. I feel as if I am on TG flight every other week, but I feel sick and ashamed when I read the list of destinations and in my mind start saying " I haven't been there, nor there, crikey haven't been there with them either". Mainly it is going to be BKK-HKG-CGK-DPS-CDG-LHR, but, I will give it some thought, I have to be able to beef it up somehow, ;) even as I type, I have forgotten MEL,SYD,AKL, then there's Thailand too and the codes except CNX escape me, China is out because I use another direct carrier, now if you were to start a thread, How many times have you transited BKK, I would hate to guess and the old passports would have to come out. Good fun, regards bkkrop

I just counted and I've "transited" (total arrivals + departures) BKK/DMK 272 times. With tickets already booked through the end of the year, I should hit 300 on Christmas Eve. That count includes all airlines, not just TG.

Damm you A_Lee, I am trying to doing some serious business, the staff see me with the passports out, and all assume I am leaving town again;). I can only find three and the total is 198, had to click on airport code to see where DMK is, how quickly we forget. I do a lot of Indonesian and they take 1 whole page so I go through the passports. Coming up before Christmas will be 18certs and possibly a couple more. There would be another 12 months of serious BKK flying on another passport, prior to that it was all Europe. You are a legend, I concede now, for a while I thought I was going to hit you out of the ring, thanks for the tip on the airfares will check later, regards bkkrop

BKKROP, you'll likely have a shot at surpassing me when you add in your other passport and counting trips next year as my TG flying slows to a mere trickle starting in January due to massive flying elsewhere for work. My totals for all of 2010 might not even match my numbers for just this past month. Unless I can offload some of this work to someone else.
I'm also pretty sure you've way outdone me in $ spent on TG flights. Back when I was flying TG all the time for work, I was in economy, and these days I have only a very small number of TG work related flights which go into business class, the rest being personal and I'm too cheap to pay more than discounted economy. At least 25% of those numbers are domestic, and over 90% in economy.

Sounds as if I always flew up front, no, up till a couple of years ago it was all in economy, years of cattle class, IIRC the only reason I upped to buying q fares was to get access to the old lounge @ DMK by becoming a gold carder. I thought the lounge was so cool because the hotels used to kick us out @ midday so we used to camp in the lounge. Prior to that I used to buy cheap airfare and accommodation deals, I became an expert on 2 star hotels next to girlie bars. They were hard days but gee it was fun sourcing product in Asia back then. good chatting, I am slowing down in 2010 too, regards bkkrop
