Flying Blue (Air France & KLM) - Back to 2005: Fréquence Plus and Flying Dutchman miles merged into one FB account?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know/remember what happened, when Flying Blue was created, to the accounts of people who were members of both Fréquence Plus and Flying Dutchman?

Were the two accounts simply merged and the miles from both accounts summed up in the new Flying Blue account?

What happened with elite qualifying miles accrued on both FFPs?

I have tried to find this out by looking at the archives from past threads, but haven’t really found answers to these questions.

IIRC everything was indeed merged : award miles and status miles. The higher status was retained.

merged, but not automatically, that is, FD and FP accounts were converted to FB and if you turned up to have two accounts you had to send copies of the cards so they could be merged.

Great, I thought that might have been the case, but I wanted to make sure...
