On the membership rewards website there is an offer for 95,000 you get a ticket to JNB from the United States. I am trying to go from DC to South Africa for the world cup and figuring out if this deal is too good to be true. Is it actually a one way ticket? Will I really be able to get a seat using this voucher? Any thoughts out there? Thanks!

mia, thanks for the reply...I had read that but I guess do not really trust it, was checking to see if anyone had ever actually used these vouchers and what their experience was if they had.
I don't follow the sport, but in my understanding the World Cup matches continue past the final travel date. That said, the procedure outlined on the website is to make the reservation before redeeming points for the certificate. There would seem to be no risk, because they will hold the reservation for 30 days.
I'm confused. What's great about 95,000 points for coach class round-trip from DC to JNB? DL round-trip is 80,000 miles. I'm sure it's probably impossible now to get the right dates for the World Cup, but for 120,000 miles one could have gone round-trip in J class with the new DL BE flat-bed sleeper "suites" via ATL.
