Emirates Airlines Skywards - Arabian airpass

Heading to Lagos in December (HAM-DXB-LOS) and have a meeting in Cairo, so was considering to take a stop over in DXB and buy a DXB-CAI-DXB roundtrip with two coupons on the arabian airpass ($300 for business class per way).
The terms http://www.emirates.com/english/destinations_offers/special_offers/arabian_airpass/terms_and_conditions.aspx state that the price is + tax. A dummy booking in business class seems to show a fare of 185 AED so roughly $50 - is this the tax I will need to pay?
Do these fares earn skywards miles?

You have to book the arabian airpass PRIOR to departure; if you booked through Emirates, call them (the offer also expires end of this month).
You will earn the miles as per a normal ticket.

1. You have to buy the tickets in the country of the first departure point.
2. You cannot buy the airpasses in the Middle East.
3. You have to use the Arabian Airpass tickets before you fly the final leg of the ticket. Just fell foul of this one, i used the wrong leg of a back to back ticket and lost 3 return legs. Have to wait till i go back to BOM to get a refund.
4. Not sure how many miles the airpasses will earn under the new Skywards rules. At the moment you get the full complement of miles and bonus miles.

i think the expired info is an automatic cms page that is shown because the deal initially was to be stopped 31 oct.
