I am in the UK, part way through a westbound AONE3 booked last February with some dummy dates and am now trying to rebook the remaining sectors. I want to use CX on JFK/YVR and also CX on SFO/HKG. However the booking engine says no flights are availabe between YVR and SFO, even if I try routing via SEA or LAX.

Any bright ideas please?

Any bright ideas please?Nope, no Oneworld metal N/S on the west coast except intra-California. Surface sector plus a paid ticket on AS from YVR to SFO or LAX.

QF used to fly SYD-SFO-YVR and v.v. but no longer do so.

The least painful way to get from YVR to SFO on a AONEx is by going via DFW (you can also go via other places like MEX once Mexicana joins OW).

A lot of the west coast north/south flights are AA codeshares operated by AS which can't be used on a xONEx.

From your post, if you have dummy dates for a QF flight YVR-SFO, then you may be able to get something else offered, as this is an involuntary re-routing.

So they should either put you on AS or fly you via DFW I would have thought. Someone else should be able to confirm this.

As above you need to travel on AA to get the shortest route - and then its YVR-DFW-SFO. No OW partner will book you on SFO-YVR or even SEA-SFO on an XONE4 itinerary.

This would work, IF you had a confirmed ticket YVR-SFO. But since QF is not flying this route anymore the OP won't be able to ticket this.

Correct! But I wasn't claiming that there are valid tickets out there I was just explaining why this wouldn't be an option for the OP.

The concept could work in principal but not in this specific case.
