Hyatt Gold Passport - Hyatt Regency Clearwater Opening December 2009

I'm anxiously awaiting the opening of this hotel. It shows on the website a December 2009 opening, but they are not accepting reservations until Feb. 1, 2010.
We have two young boys and it appears that ll 250 rooms will have kitchen set ups so that will be a HUGE convenience for eating meals in.
In addition, it appears to be on a nice stretch of beach, and of course sunsets in Clearwater are usually fantastic!

Does anyone know how redeeming points will work at this property? I've tried to do it online and it says you can't use that certificate...I hope they participate, b/c they would get a lot of my business! :D

You can call Customer Service to redeem your points and/or FFNs

Talked to CS today and the property is taking reservations starting Feb. 1st...redemption is set at 15,000 points per night!
That seems like a bargain to me given that every room has a gulf/sunset view and a kitchen area...NICE!^

Can't wait for this property to open. I do a lot of business in Clearwater and this hotel is the primary reason I'll be making the loyalty switch to Hyatt!
