Star Alliance - Star Alliance Gold Baggage Allowance

I tried to find the answer to this, first on respective airline websites, then here, but no conclusive answer - or it's possible completely separate from general baggage allowance numbers.

The question is: is there any extra baggage allowance for Star Gold members on the following airlines (either economy or business tickets) for intra-Asia flights, but not domestic:
- Singapore
- Thai
- ANA

So far, I see it's generally 30kg/person for business and 20kg for economy for all three. Is there any additional allowance for *A Gold and if so, do you have a reference to where that's stated?

Also, one of these three (not sure which one, I think it was ANA) explicitly states that weight allowance can be combined for passangers travelling together (so for two of us, it's just really 60kg total in business for example). Is this generally true for all?

Thanks!

I can't believe that any Star Alliance carrier would deny the extra 20kg privilege to Star Alliance Gold members on non-North America flights.

Anyways, here's the SQ linky:

*KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members
Entitled to 20 kg of extra baggage allowance to all [italics mine] destinations except USA and Canada.

Can't believe I missed this line - I probably saw KrisFlyer part and skipped over the rest and ignored Star Alliance.
It's probably safe to assume the same holds true for others, although I'll try to find the confimation. They do seem pretty consistent in terms of non-elite limits, so hopefully their extra allowance is consistent too.

You get 20 kg of extra checked luggage on all *A flights as *G with the exception of flights where the piece concept applies (like to/from the US) where you get one extra piece instead.

Ok, I think this covers Thai (extra 20kg mentioned in Gold benefits on Star Alliance airlines, so I imagine that goes the other way too):

And similar for ANA:

I completely agree! I have travelled with heavy luggage on many Star Alliance carriers and it has never ever been a problem. Just show your *G card when you check-in.
*G is a well-established status level and the check-in agents know the rules.

As *G you need to bring a considerable amount of excess luggage before most airlines will charge you.
I have more than once checked in 50 kg of luggage flying economy (20 kg economy + 20 kg *G allowance=10 kg overweight) without a comment.

I had too... I had my first negative experience at Cape Town just 2 weeks ago... where I was told that my 32 KG total was too much... after much ado, they let it go... interestingly on the return from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, not so much as a blink...

Didn't *A Silver status used to give you an extra 10kg of luggage for wt concept? It seems that is no longer the case.
