I'll soon be taking VX for the first time - and using in-flight wifi for the first time too. How well does it work? Is the speed okay?

IMHO - it would be pretty useful if others also include a speedtest when posting to the Official "I'm in the air" thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/virgin-america-elevate/935930-official-im-air-thread-2.html) (if using WiFi).

A great idea to get people used to the idea and stimulate some usage and then after the 15th of Jan more paying customers!

I'm not up on precise speeds, but it's always been fast enough for me, and reliable.

There's 3mbps for the whole plane. It's been fine for me too, but if it's free I suspect it will no longer be fine.

I'd be surprised if I am the first, but I do appear to be the first to post here about it. :cool:

I'm on LAX-JFK right now getting 0.54/0.19 for speeds. I have no idea how many other folks on the plane are using it since I'm in row 1 and can't really see behind me. It will be interesting to see what happens when I try to upload a couple videos to YouTube from the *A Mega Do later in the flight.
