This has probably already been covered, but does any alliance have any plans to include EVA? They are one of the few airlines that has a flight from Seattle direct to any Asian gateway now that CI has discontinued theirs.
Cheers.

I heard some vague talk about OneWorld a while back but I've not heard anything solid.
Personally I'm rather happy that they are not part of an alliance and hope it stays that way. But that's because I travel mostly on EVA and little on other airlines these days. I'm not sure EVA could cope with large numbers of people pitching up at TPE claiming benefits on the basis of status with other airlines.

CI and BR are so focused on Taiwanese market that I suspect neither will join an alliance any time soon. :( They may have frequent flyer reciprocity with some partners, but not full alliance membership.

Because it is an excellent 4 star airline. The economy product is one of the best in the industry.

You know, sadly, I am still gold on EVA as well as earning most of my current Platinum status on Continental with BR miles from '08. I flew them ALLOT. 8-10 RT TPAC's a year. I really like them as an airline. They have been good to me. Any complaints I have made are outweighed by consistently good service. BUT, the effective breakup with Continental this January and almost total breakup with Continental as of the last few days has left me with no choice but to chose another carrier. After flying 8-10 TPAC's on BR for the last 5 years I have flown one OW TPAC this year and it is probably my last. I really miss them but the benefits of Evergreen Club alone do not even come close to competing with other carriers. I miss BR. I really do, but I likely will never fly them again based on the lack of partners.

just out of interest I have found that buying business class fares and paying partially with miles is really cheap compared to other carriers on the same routes. I did a few checks the other week and it was amazing. The problem is those business class seats are really no good for sleeping and if you recline the seat with the table in place it will crush your legs
