AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - First flights on AirTran

Wife and I just completed our first RT flights on AirTran, PHL-ATL-SAT and back.
We were both pleasantly surprised by the on-time flights, low fares, personable FAs and pilots.

We don't fly much, but were impressed that we got standby seats on an earlier flight ATL-PHL with only 25 minutes to connect with, avoiding a four-hour layover in ATL. And our checked bag even made the flight.

Seems AirTran is a good alternative to US from PHL, even if we have to change planes in ATL.:)

^ Glad you had a good experience. Where I live, I can't take advantage of their service without at least an hour and a half drive, but the times I've flown FL, I've been satisfied.

Glad to hear you had a pleasant experience. AirTran actually provides a better travel experience than some of the major carrier domestic flights.

Your luggage would have been on that earlier flight no matter what. So if you ended up on your original flight, you would have had to go to the AT office to get your luggage as it would have arrived before you did. We have had this happen before on flights where we arrived real early to the airport and there was another flight before ours going to the same destination.

A great back up airline. And they make money. However, they spotty network makes it hard for the business traveler..........
