Hyatt Gold Passport - 10 percent limit on point purchase

I currently have 21080 Gold Passport points. I need 24000 to get a two night stay at the Hyatt Arlington in Virginia. GP will only allow me to purchase 2400 points as it is 10 percent of the redemption. This would still leave me 520 points short.

Do they ever make exceptions in a case like mine and allow purchasing some points beyond the 10 percent?

How far are you from Denver, make two cheap stays at one of the many HP, or SS hotels? By doing this you will earn the points and a free night on the FFN promo.

I called Gold Passport again today and gor a rep who allowed me to purchase 3000 points for $60. So, it seems, problem solved.
