I have the choce of burning OW miles TLV-BKK on LY or AMM-BKK on RJ in Business.

Neither airline has alot of trip reports on FT or anywhere else forhat matter.

Anyone care to weigh in about these options.

Thanks!

I would choose LY any day.
RJ uses antiquated A310s on the route whereas LY uses a mix of 763s/777s/744s. During fall/winter, LY uses a lot of 744s, so no comparison with the A310.
Further, I heard that RJ service was far from being good.

If they are AA miles then I'd use them on LY because it is nonstop. However, the planes I was on a few weeks ago in Y on RJ TLV-AMM-BKK made me wonder why I ever set foot on an LY 767 to Asia. I have some pics I need to upload.

Well I have to say something here which is a bit off-topic, But i had a United
flight from Denver to Washington few days ago on a 767, And i was amazed
on what can be done on such planes, They had First, Business and Economy,
It was well organized, the Economy Plus looks very good (i was on the Business).
I know the plane was changed from the original one we were suppose to fly,
so they put a plane that does international flight, this is probably why they
had first and business with beds and etc...)

That really gave me a different perspective over the 767 EL-AL have, Yuck!

I have a smooth connection via AMM, so I guess I'll give RJ a try! Thnx

I would think twice (triple, quadruple...:) before going to such a place. I guess it's just me :)

Indeed but no need to go as far as UA.
Even on BA's 767 flights from TLV, you have Economy, Premium Economy, and Flat bed Business class.

You have 757's out there with Economy, Business and First so easy on a
767.... :)

beg to differ on RJ, flew them JFK/AMM/BKK last year in J and it was very nice. The aircraft has been renovated with new seats. Service very good,

UA's 763 international configuration was rolled out in the past year. And yes, E+ is a nice product for what it is - extra legroom for elite FFs (not a "premium economy" product). But UA E- is steerage.

I was in J on LY 762 FRA-TLV this summer, and agree that the interiors are "retro" (which is a nice way of saying 25 years old and showing it). But given the age of the airframes, it's unrealistic to expect a cabin overhaul.
