I just reached Five Star about a month ago and wondering if there is any kind of Five Star membership kit I can expect in the mail? Also, will I get a plastic membership card instead of the cheap printed paper one I currently have now?

When I reached Five Star Status 3-4 years ago they sent me a new plastic card which said "Expires 4/07". I've consistently requalified for F.S. since then, but haven't gotten any new cards from them since that point.
I vaguely remember getting an automated e-mail at one point that said something along the lines of "keep using your expired card" (i.e. they're saving the expense of sending out updated ones).

I qualified for the first time earlier in the year, I was sent a welcome letter stating the benefits and a new plastic card as well. Mines doesnt have an expiry date.

I didn't even know what Five star was until this thread, and apparently I am a member now. No idea why. I haven't had 10 rentals this year or even close. I have not seen a welcome kit

Hey... this is my first post! I've attained President's Circle status with Hertz and still haven't received any welcome kit. To be honest, I never received my Five Star kit when I reached the level in early March. If there was something good, then doggone it... I'm missing out!
(This is my first posting... knees shaking!)

My 5* card arrived about 4 weeks after qualification with nothing else at all to accompany it. The card was just stuck to the middle of a piece of paper in an envelope.
I wouldn't get too excited. Since reaching 5* I have rented another 13 times and received one upgrade, 3 downgrades and twice had to wait more than half an hour for any car at all. This is despite having the email address of the local manager and reminding them in advance of my weekly rental booking number, plus using the guaranteed upgrade code available to all Gold members to end Dec 09. I normally rent midweek and by Wednesday the fleet at my rental location is absolutely trashed. Last week when I entered the car park there was one car in the Hertz bays - that was it.
Am due to hit PC in 2 weeks. Having read the various threads here there doesn't seem to be much of an improvement so I am not getting my hopes up. If the cars aren't available, they aren't available. Just a shame that the website is prepared to sell cars which don't exist :(

Did you call hertz to get yourself upgraded right away? The minute you cross the threshold they will up your status, but only manually.
The "welcome kit" comes in april or something with nothing of consequence attached :)

Where are you renting from? While I think PC Is a huge joke, I have not had these experiences of waiting and waiting. I have not been downgraded, but I am seeing less and less upgrades.
