Check Seatguru.com for Seat Maps and warnings about "Bad" seats.
Generally the warn you to avoid the Restroom areas or too close to the Galley.

Seat Guru has very little. I was hoping to learn where the underseat entertainment boxes are and any other insghts.

If I recall correctly from my last trip the IFE-boxes are blocking the space under seat B, D, G and J (aisle seats). Please correct me if I am wrong.

As the pitch on A345 is 36" the problem is not as big as on the A346 with 34". I tried one of the new A330's last month from HAN to BKK with PTV's in Y and with only 32" this box is actually makes the seat very cramped. I would hate to do 10h in that seat.

I try to avoid seats with these boxes as they make it difficult/impossible to stretch my legs. IFE is nice but being able to strech my legs is still a priority to me. Last time I actually pre-booked a middle seat on the A346 in the centre to avoid this box. Luckily the flight was not that full.

Cheers,

After doing several flights in Y on the new A330s, I've come to the conclusion that they are one of the worst Y seats in the TG fleet. The IFE boxes you mention are quite large, I think larger than any other IFE boxes in the TG fleet, so you have no place to put your feet. On top of that, the silly designed foot rest, when in the up position, is in the way and hurts your shins. I've been asked to put the foot rests up for take-off and landing but always put them back down as soon as the FA's take their seats. The IFE controllers on the side of the arm rests also take from the width of the seat, making it narrower than it should be.

No matter how much I try, I cannot get comfortable in these seats, which is actually rare for me. Give me an old A330 anyday over the new ones for a flight of any distance. I'd rather do without the IFE and be comfortable. Unfortunately the lack of IFE in economy was one of the biggest complaints about TG I've heard, so they're only trying to give the people what they want.

I have not found the IFE Box to be a problem in PE. There is plenty of Leg room with the 38" pitch. Can't say the same for Standard economy.
