oneworld - Turnaround in Zambia or Zimbabwe
With the fall in the USD, the benefit of starting an AONEx in Zambia or Zimbabwe versus South Africa is starting to look attractive. Does anyone have any experience with fast turnarounds in HRE, VFA or LVI? In all cases the same BA (Comair) aircraft turn around at these places, but there is only 30 to 45 minutes between arrival and departure times. Is this possible?
Thanks

The last time that ex-HRE was attracting attention it was reported that same day turnaround was not possible but people were having to buy tickets back then at the BA office in town. Buying on line might change things substantially.

You could also consider talking SAA up and BA/Comair back(SAA has several flights a day).

Even way back in 2006 when I bought my XONEX through BA in Harare, my cc was processed remotely, an e-ticket was issued and I did not have to go to their town offices. (As it happened I did not do a turnaround because I took the opportunity to visit friends. But I did not go into BA's offices at all.)
I have no idea what the Harare office is like these days or if it has declined since BA mainline pulled out of HRE. But they were an absolute pleasure to deal with back in the day.

Thanks for the suggestion. This allows a 2 hour turnaround in LVI, and may be useful for me in the future.
Looking at my schedule, I realised that I could put an overnight in LVI, and see the Falls from the Zambian side, for the first time, as opposed to the Zimbabwe side that I have done before. I managed to get it all ticketed from AA (using my Canadian address) at the Zambia price.
