Air France Frequence Plus - Hotel day rooms at/near CDG

Hello there

This is my first posting on Flyertalk so I'm a little nervous...

Anyway, Mrs SteelCityBoy and I have just made bookings to spend Christmas with her parents in Toronto. We're returning 2 January 2010 YYZ-CDG-MAN on AF351/AF2568 arriving 3 January 2010. As there's quite a long layover between the two flights (7 hours 10 minutes) we were hoping to use this time profitably to rest after all night on the transatlantic sector since we will both be back at work the following day.

Does anyone know of any hotels/similar therefore at/near CDG that offer 'day room' facilities at a reasonable price? Sadly the realities of life mean that we are travelling in Y and have no status.

Any suggestions/tips gratefully received!

SHERATON CDG TERMINAL 2, between D or C and E/F
some special day fares are available.
Very very convenient*, inside of the airport, ca. 100m away from the gates, but not so cheap (see their website to know the exactly fares)

(* otherwise add an average of 45mnx2 transportation. I don't know if other hotels nearby do that or not) So, considering the time which will left if you count the time to cross the police office (min 30mns) and the time to check-in again (1h) less than 4 hours will remain. So I think sheraton is the best solution

The Sheraton is certainly an excellent option, but it is pricey. The Ibis is cheaper and offers rates by the hour, with a minimum of 2 hours. It is something like 5-7mn away from the Sheraton, with the CDGVAL automated shuttle. It is basic, but you can shower and sleep. I would not go there when the weather is warm, as the hotel lacks air conditioning.
