I am flying out of KUL on Monday to BKK on MAS in Y then onwards to DXB/LGW in F on EK (they were not prepared to change my routing to go directly from KUL except at an exorbitant cost). Will I be able to use the lounge in KUL even though my journey with EK does not start until BKK?

No you won't be able to. Cos EK does not have their own lounge in KUL. So you will not be allowed access into any lounge unless you pay for it at the Priority Pass lounge.

Not strictly true, because EK does have its own lounge at KUL, but however as you will not be flying with them from KUL you will have no entitlement to use the lounge

Thanks for the responses. No big deal as KLIA is a very nice airport IMHO.

Pleasant update. Went to the EK lounge in KUL which is situated to the right of Satay City restaurant(can't remember which terminal)and having asked nicely and showed my F boarding cards for BKK-DXB-LGW to the nice attendant, my wife and I were invited into the lounge for a quick snack and a glass of fizz. We thought it was a very nice lounge and on a par with the EK lounge at BKK. It pays to :)

I've always found the staff at KL loungue very good. Food and drink very nicely presented and the showers are always clean and fresh.
Unlike the snarls at Dubai, and the pathetic shower facilities

Like others I found the new F lounge at T3 Dubai rather cold and impersonal. As our connecting flight to LGW left from gate 122 we tried the old business lounge alongside the gate. Nice and empty compared to the old days, however efforts to have a shower were thwarted by no hot water in the shower cabins. The lounge assistant suggested the F lounge in T3 but I passed on the chance to run the gauntlet of the masses trawling the DF.
