Las Vegas - taking advantage of hotel deals which give credit for stays

Hi, although i ve been in Vegas once before, i am a complete newbie in this... also couldnt find anything in the forum about it...

some may consider this "wrong", that i want to "cheat" the system, but still if i can get away with these without breaking the rules, means it is not cheating :)

so, many hotels have promos which offer nice rates plus some activity/food credit.. in some cases (like MGM) you can get 35/50$ credit for a 60$ night stay...

so what if i am staying with my girlfriend, can i split the two (or better yet, three, four, five) nights reservations under our different names this way they will count as separate stays and will both get the bonus credits...

is the ONLY way to pull this off, to actually check out, leave the hotel and then come back in again to check in under different person or is there a way to actually keep the same room and not having to take your luggage away from it ??

thanks for your help in advance and please dont be harsh if this is a stupid question :)

Keeping the same room and combining offers will cause 2 problems:

1. It probably won't happen and the desk will combine the reservations when you first check-in and you won't get to keep dipping on the credits.
2. Your girlfriend will be pissed that you are trying to be cheap and she has to keep re-packing her bags to move rooms. Trust me...I quickly learned it's worth spending extra (or not getting additional savings) to stay at one property on a trip than to make your girl move rooms/hotels.
