Hi,
I am *G (AC-SE), and flying next month, YUL-ZRH-DEL, all on LX, in paid business class. I am in transit in ZRH, and wondering which lounge do I get access to when I am there. I know there is the contracted Bellevue lounge for all premium passengers, but is there an authentic, and dedicated Star Gold lounge I could use? I do not plan on clearing customs.
One of the stupid things that LX did is to put their premium lounges in schengen side instead of non schengen side including the FCL, which should cater more for Int'l travel rather than schengen travel.
I find it very annoying that every time I transit via ZRH I have to pass through passport control to use the FCL.
So if you want to use LX lounges you have to pass through passport control to go there or you stay in E terminal and enjoy the Bellevue lounge.

Hi. here is another question about the Bellevue lounge.
When I fly to the US - can I just go into the lounge and then re-clear US security?
The locations of the lounges is not ideal, but it was totally fine when Switzerland wasn't part of the Schengen agreement.

There is also the Non-Schengen LX lounge (formerly LH lounge) near the B gates, which can be accessed without clearing passport control. But you'd have to take the train from the E gates to the main terminal complex.
gordo6, yes you can access the Bellevue lounge and then leave "non-US" security and clear "US-security". Make sure you factor in enough time.

To be fair to LX, when the lounges were created there was no Schengen / non-Schengen divide. All flights were non-Schengen. When Switzerland signed up to Schengen at the beginning of this year the airport authorities divided the terminal into Schengen / non-Schengen in an appropriate manner - i.e. the main part of the terminal is Schengen as most of the flights are Schengen.
As a frequent traveller through ZRH to and from the UK, I find the new arrangements very frustrating but I can see why it has been done this way.
The OP could use the B gate Senator lounge without clearing immigration but I find the Bellevue perfectly acceptable and, if it were me, I would stay at the E gates between flights.

With all fairness, UK flights were the most hit by the new arrangements in ZRH. Everytime I fly to LHR or vice versa I have to take the bus to the plane. However, all BA flights to UK leaves out of terminal E using a jetty.
This made me always think twice before booking a ticket on LX to LHR via ZRH.
I don't get it why LX don't do the same as BA and fly out of terminal E for all the flights to LHR

http://www.zurich-airport.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-254/ sounds like there will be jetties in Dock B eventually though (end of 2011).
