I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't find anything in my search.

I booked a flight several months back with one of those coupons that comes from airtran through email. I'm looking to reschedule the flight, and it looks like I lose the value of this credit. Basically the new ticket cost is showing the ticket price + change fee - the amount I paid (not the true value of the ticket). Is that right?

Kind of unfair. I was hoping to justify the change fee knowing I originally saved some money.

Is the new flight in the window for when the coupon was good for? Is this the sunshine coupon. You could just use another when you make the new change and are asked for payment.

Thanks dioxide45 for the response. Since it appeared I was going to lose the credit (the coupon was just some random emailed one that I don't know anyone else got) I ended up taking the flight down, but not the return flight. It showed that by canceling my flight, I was going to owe them 40 cents! Thought that was funny, so I just didn't show up.
