Nationwide, Southwest is adding more than 100 one-way flights to their schedule, with Chicago receiving the most at 21, followed by Baltimore. The airline is also adding 9 more flights in Orlando and Tampa, including some on Saturdays which Southwest has targeted as a "leisure-day" for travel to destinations in Florida as well as Las Vegas. For example, the airline is increasing the number of flights from Orlando on Saturdays from 104 to 129.

Does this include more new destinations, or is it just filling in point-to-point or increasing frequencies?

Some of this is seasonal "add back," I think.

PIT gets it's 5th MDW flight back, and an extra MCO (you'd think they'd do that earlier in the winter). PIT also gets an extra MCO on Saturdays.

BOS gets 2x extra to BWI.

BWI and MDW look to be the big winners. PHL loses a few. BNA loses a few to the west.

Hooray!

They are adding back the late evening direct flight from MDW to PHL.

It will be possible again to work a full day in Chicago, and still get home the same evening.

Meanwhile, DL is forcing NWA to replace DC-9s with crop dusters on the ORD-DTW-PHL routing.

Which makes the WN alternative all the sweeter.

I see WN is adding more frequencies out of MCO, MDW, BWI and etc.

WN is added 2 more daily total of seventh daily roundtrip BOS-BWI

WN added 1 each daily roundtrip total of fifth daily roundtrip FLL-MDW/BWI. I think they are doing extremely performance very well.

Also, I hasn't see it anything more specific new routes yet. What about WN will have to be announcement opening new cities in 2010 timelines.
