You’ll get private jet service (roundtrip airfare from BUR or SNA) coupled with luxe accommodations for three nights. On the jet, a Wynn concierge will hand over your room keys and spoil you with Champagne. When you arrive, a limo will whisk you away to the resort so you can dodge that notorious Vegas taxi line. The price tag? A cool $780 per person for double occupancy, or $260 per night. Available through November 29, 2009.

If I had the time, I'd fly out to the west coast just to take advantage of this deal.

not "incredible" IMHO.

$1193 single
$1560 double

- RT airfare from socal on 50 seat jet (sounds more like commercial charter than private to me)
- "limo" transfers (shared?)
- 3 nights in resort room at wynn/encore

when amex plat/cent got 2 free nights in resort room at wynn/encore, i didnt see the point in bothering. especially when rates have been lower than $100 and theyre comping a lot more than usual.

of course if you can get tower upgrade for ~$50/nt (like MikeE on free amex nights) thats better, but you still had to wait in line.

now if i had biz cent and got 2 free nights in salon suite at encore, that would have been nice.

both those offers included FHR benefits too.

then again, they also brought back a promo reminiscent of the 2 promos where parlor suites were ~$180 IIRC. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/12539172-post352.html > salon for $350. parlour for $250.

Price has gone up from a similar previous promo ($569 pp).

that would be $1138 double, and with club access and "more"? now that might have been a deal. it was bookable?

ah, club as in no cover etc at nightclubs, not the club lounge.

http://elaine-travels.blogspot.com/2009/09/jet-set-life.html

also mentioned baggage handling.

Going to be some upset people that book this deal and blow past the details thinking they are going to get a true "private jet".

AA operates a 50 seat aircraft; the ERJ-145. Small indeed.. but 50 people is still a lot. Now certainly this is better than the planes that cram 150+ people on board, but far cry from private. I bet the limo service is one of those executive small shuttle buses.

Interesting Finds (from T&C):
"Comfortable ground transportation to and from Wynn Las Vegas or Encore". (MM983 Note: So.. no limo probably)

"AIRCRAFT: This flight will be performed by ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. using a 50-seat Embraer Model 145 aircraft. Wynn Vacations reserves the right to substitute equivalent aircraft if necessary."

"Guests are responsible for costs incurred at the nightclubs, and must be present at the location at 10pm to redeem complimentary nightclub access." (MM983 Note: Not useful. I don't go to nightclubs, but isn't 10pm early?)

"The price of the package is for a double occupancy room. The lowest single occupancy room is $1193. Room type upgrades may be requested pending availability." (MM983 Note: I wasn't able to find exact wording on the room type which leads me to believe it is a standard room.)

Final Thoughts:
Props to the package though for using weekends instead of the standard Sun/Monday to Wed/Thursday. Credit to Wynn for coming up with a new type of offer instead of the same-old-same-old, but no dice. Not an earth shattering discovery, but I did LAX-LAS for the first time a couple of weekends ago. I usually do something like DFW-LAS. From each of the package airports (BUR and SNA) to LAS is about 225 miles. You'll be in the air for maybe 30 to 40 minutes.

apparently CO actually uses expressjet as well. http://expressjet.com/partners/

at least you do get to use the private aviation terminal. but then again, if its a group, youve got to move with them. no lounging about.

ExpressJet is a regional carrier spin-off from Continental.

Eww, Express Jet? Didn't see that part. Do you sit on the ground at LAS for eight hours, as well? ;)

I just got a targeted offer for $109 at Wynn most Sun-Thu and a lot of $179 Fri-Sat through the end of the year. Who needs a frickin' "private" jet?

Agreed--I bet the actual flight would be pretty miserable, almost certainly worse than F on a regular commercial flight.

FYI:
SNA to LAS is about 65 Minutes normally in the air.

I booked this for Thanksgiving. Leaves on Thursday at 7:00 PM
and you come back Sunday at 5:00.

Now I dont know about you guys. But Thanksgiving has to be about the worst time to be on a Commercial Flight during the entire year. And for flying on those dates and times your going to pay FULL POP Holiday fares.

So for $ 780 x 2 = $ 1560.00 You get 3 nights and all transportation.
Thats a great deal for the Holiday. And you can avoid the Security line. Airport parking is included.

I booked this for Thanksgiving.$1560 - $814.24 (published) = $745.76 / 2 = $372.88 pp airfare
(not including airport transfers, which seem to be shared)

not terrible, and you do get to use private terminals.

A quick check shows WN r/t out of SNA (biz select on the return will be a life saver at LAS security lines) and 3 nights in Encore Resort Room at rack rate to equal $1,268.64. Tack on another $100 for car service if you book limo transfer through Bell or something equivalent. You are spending about $200 more for the Wynn package. Just really a matter of if you find value in the extra $200. Much less legroom but 1/3 of the people on the flight. Likely to be sharing a limo or shuttle with others to the property vs booking your own private transportation. Drinks on the way out (1 glass of champagne) vs drinks on the way back (1 WN drink ticket). Not having to deal with check-in line at hotel vs waiting 10 minutes to check-in on Thanksgiving night (should be a relatively slow check-in period).

Dont forget Airport Parking at SNA. 4 Days = $ 100.00
Missing the Security lines at SNA and LAS and the Reg. airport = Priceless

That's why I LUV Love Love Field...$8 for B parking and $12 for A parking. A is next to terminal and B is right behind that.
