I am arriving this morning (10/15) on TG 350 at 6:25am. I am connecting same date to TG 676 to NRT which departs at 7:35am.
Will I have to go thru security and immigration at BKK ? How long does this usually take at this time in the morning ?
Also TG 676 is listed as a 747-400. How early do they begin boarding ? Do the o/h bins fill up fast ?
Your insight is appreciated.

If your post is correct, you waited till the last minute to ask a question so I'm assuming this answer is now worthless as you've already boarded your connecting flight.
But anyways, the answer is you must pass through security but not immigration. If your flight arrives on time and it takes 10 minutes or so to taxi to the gate and another 5 or 10 minutes to deplane and make it to security, you'll probably be fine and it shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes to clear security. If your flight is early and you hit it at the peak (0600 to 0615 in my experience), it could take you 20 minutes or more waiting in the security lines.
Gates typically open about 40 minutes before departure, but boarding usually isnt' till 30 or sometimes 20 minutes before departure. Don't know about bins filling up as it varies a whole lot from flight-to-flight and also where on the plane, how crowded it is, etc. Really hard to say.

A-Lee,
Yes you were correct I waited until the last minute to post my question. (I usually use the UA MP board and Qs usually get answered within minutes).
But your info was extremely useful and perhaps someone else will benefit. My TG flight was about 40 minutes early (now that's a first for me) and I connect at the East Wing for gate C-1. The security line was long but it moved quickly, about 10 minutes total. I had enough time to use the Thai ROP Longe in Hall C. I noticed that I did not have to go thru security once in this lounge but I did go thru security after the ROP Lounge the last time I departed from BKK. I think the ROP Lounge I used last time was on the lowest level and this time the Lounge was on the third level. Anyway, BKK was a breeze and I would say to anyone making an international connection that 1 hours is sufficient.

I also have a question about BKK immigration/transiting.
I am flying from HKG to BKK on Thai Airways TG0603, arriving at 09:40am and then taking Bangkok Airways PG905 at 11:35am from BKK to Siem Reap(REP), Cambodia. The connection time is quite tight (about 2 hours, is that enough time?) and I want to make sure I can make my connecting flight to REP.
I am wondering if anyone might have any experience where they have checked their bag onwards through BKK and they have used 2 different airlines. I hope that BKK is very efficient with transiting luggage, but 2 hours is not a lot of time.
If it means anything I am travelling with wife and mother-in-law and I don't want any grief on our vacation trip.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Two more question to the above.
Did you have any check luggage?
Did it come to your final destination together with you?
