I currently will fly a UA F award to BKK arriving on a TG flight in F cabin after the last flight departs to my destination. Infamous *net blocking is causing endless headaches and the need to purchase (therefor separate PNR) that final connection.:mad:
My question/concern: will TG hold my bags and transfer them upon arrival if informed of my onward ticket (either TG or PG)? United won't allow that transfer because it would involve an 'overnight hold'.
Also, what would happen if I concurrently secured an F award for morning departure (in order to gain lounge access for shower etc) before suddenly deciding to cancel the award and heading into town for food/drink?
I have been able to navigate the new transfer security process and gained lounge access by simply showing a printed itin and the explanation that the transfer desk of said airline isn't open yet.... (which was factual then and would be now too).
