Emirates Airlines Skywards - Chauffeur Service with award

If I fly EK to Dubai using an award from my JAL account(Business class of course) am I entitled to Chauffeur service on arrival and when departing in Dubai?

So I know to book a car from the hotel or not.

Yes, you are entitled to all the car transfers you want from/to the airport. I got back last week on a Continental Airlines award on Emirates Business Class (IAH-DXB-BLR). I received all car transfers I requested including transfers on the stopover in DXB. This is a great benefit. As soon as you clear customs in Dubai, walk immediately to the right and you will see the Emirates car service desk which can handle your request.(Don't walk to the left which is the general direction for exiting to the terminal). I didn't have an advanced request in Dubai, but just made on upon arrival at the car service desk. The Emirates Volvo cars are waiting outside exit # 4 directly in front of the car service desk.

Someone posted recently that they were refused the car service when they'd booked a CO award. How long ago did you book yours?

Maybe it is a recent change to new booking - even though you only flew recently.

Ticketed the award reservation with CO on September 17th

It seems as though EK have changed the rules for the chauffeur drive. If you book a special price economy fare and upgrade with miles you are not entitled to the service. I would not not mind if they told you this when you booked. But to be able to book the service and then get told 36 hours before flying sorry we are cancelling the service is typical of EK changing the rules on a whim.

Just to update you, I did get the car service on my 3rd attempt...no, no, then finally yes. Someone actually posted the T&C's somewhere on here that states you are entitled to the car even when booking through a different carrier's FFP. Can't locate it at the moment though.

I got a chaffeur ride with my CO award on EK. There was no problem at all.
