Air France Frequence Plus - Seat change on the internet

Am I the only one not being able to change seats on an existing reservation online, it doesn't even give me the option to do so anymore :confused:

Is it on an AF codeshare flight you're trying to change?

I have noticed that it has been on/off with code-shares at times but never on actual AF flights...

Same problem here, when checking in yesterday

There seems to have an ongoing "bug" with seat selection on AF website.
Yesterday I bought a ticket on line, and the seat selection did not appear. Thanks to the info in this thread (in french):

I sent a message to the internet service center, and the seat was assigned very quickly.

So I guess that as long as this bug lasts, you have to call for seat changes.

No, AF flight

I had this problem with AF recently. I spoke to the web support team. They said to change seats, you have to first cancel your online check-in, then start check-in again...

That can lead to an exciting few moments as you gamble your previous seat for your new preferred seat.....

Tried it twice. First time, after I cancelled, it would not let me select a new seat, and I was left seatless until I got to the airport.

Second flight (yes, I'm stupid), it worked ok, but it was nerve wracking incase it happened again

How do you cancel online check in? Is this after checking in fully or during the process, before completion?
