Southwest Rapid Rewards - Once again Ding strikes out (and TV ads too!)

So today I receive a sale email from WN that links to a webpage offering $44 one-way flights within California and to/from LAX.

Funny, I could swear I received a Ding update last weekend offering $48 one-way fares for November. And just now a TV advert advertising $59 one-way fares (actually a range beginning at $59).

Here's some advice:

(1) Get rid of Ding. Most of us don't pay attention anyway (particularly when we can't download it at work) and the deals are rarely useful. Send emails when you want to run a real sale.

(2) Update your freakin TV ads when you change fares. Might even sell a few more tickets.

The $44 fares end mid-November, the same time limit as in the August $30 sale. However your October flights will earn an extra credit, which might be worth $14 more in fare.

taking a little break from the UA forum upgrade fraccas. You'd think "hey we will let elites sit up here whenever possible, there may be times people have paid to sit here and in that case the availability will be lower, but in general lets fill our best cabins with the most amenities full on every flight with our most loyal flyers. We'll make a list based on where you fit your status, and if we have space you are golden" = how to create a 100 page thousands of posts thread. yikes. Methinks some UA FT'rs wouldnt be happy if UA gave them a 777 and let them run it however they wanted lol.

Ahhh back on topic- I can never seem to capture these ding fares or the ad on TV. I go check right away but in the end it is not what they said. Maybe there is a code I am not using or something, I now go check so infrequently as I have been trained that these are bait and switch ads.
