Amtrak Guest Rewards - Best for sleep on overnight 66/67 Regional - Coach or Business class?

(I know I could have asked this in my other thread, but I figured a new thread might make it easier for anyone else wondering, to find this answer.)

On the 23rd, I will be taking the 67 Regional from Boston to Newark. Thing is, I'll be getting up for work at 6am, and won't be getting home until 5pm, giving me just two hours before my bus to Boston. Since it's not worth it to nap for two hours, I'm planning on trying to sleep while onboard the train, since I'll be flying on the 24th from 6:25am to 2:00pm (with layovers).

I know that if you get a consist that has the dinette with the business class seating in it, it is insanely comfortable. My problem with that, would be that if the lights in the car are bright, I wouldn't be able to sleep at all. Can anyone shed some light (haha) on this? Although comfort would be ideal, I'd rather be in a car that is dark(er).

On another note, does the 67 frequently sell out their Business class seats often, more specifically, on a Friday night? (I'm travleing on an AGR ticket, so I need to wait until I'm onboard before upgrading.)

I've never taken the southbound night train, but the 66 has had a sold-out business car on the Friday nights that I've traveled. (However, might be worth mentioning that I've only taken it on holiday weekends; perhaps the train is less full on regular weekends.) And, yes, it consistently has the dinette/business car, and it can be a little bright. But it's nothing a cheap face mask won't solve, and I'd take that over sleeping in the coach seats.

I found the dinette/business car very comfortable for sleeping.
As suggested, take a sleeping mask if lights will bother you.

I've taken #67 south a few times in coach. The bright lights stay on all night! (I've never done it in BC, so I can't say about it.) Also, during the 1 hour + stop at NYP, the platform lights shine bright. (And the AFI cars do not have curtains!)

I've boarded #66 many times, and the calling time at my station is 6:22 AM. The lights are on full, so I assume that they are on all night too.

The suggestion for eye shades is a very good one.

The Club-Dinette BC car does have curtains, so one good argument for that car.
