Welcome to FlyerTalk, danbjacobs!
I'm a member through my Gold Matmid card so I can't help you. But considering that a one-time entry is something like $29, are you sure it is worth it?

Wouldn't you of have checked in your luggage by the time you get to the lounge?
Being Kind-David member, wont help with the weight, but will sure help
you in the big line before the check-in, He will do the check-in thru the business lane, which means probably luggage wont be scanned.
At the check-in of sherut-shalom, they will probably be more forgiving regarding extra weight (not extra luggage!).
An yes, you can enter by paying 29$ or by "paying" 60 points of your FF.
Ebzed.

Somewhere in this forum is a post which states it costs $29 to get lounge access. I've not verified the information.

I think a paid King David membership also gives extra checked baggage allowance.

Its fine I did it through some sort of glitch in the system. I typed in the number of someone who has already nominated someone and it still let me do it for half price. I called up elal and they said it is a mistake and it shouldn't work but good luck to me if it does :D

And you called them to alert them of a bug that let you do this because you wanted them to camcel the registration, didn't want any of us to be able to take advantage of it or because you are a shareholder and worried the company may lose money?
You'll find that around here we typically discourage calling and bringing attention to mistakes we can take advantage of. This has enabled people to have some wonderful flights and vacations for dirt cheap. Typically the goodwill that is gained by companies who honor these mistakes when they become aware results in more business for them.

At least we're hearing of a bug in our advantage

I called them up to check that if I did it this way that the person recommending me wouldn't lose the abilty to recommend the person he normally recommends. Don't worry I was not calling up to report it.
Also if anyone else wants to do it you should try it as it doesn't even require 1000 points to sign up so anyone can do it :D (you will have to pay full price if you don't have a recommendation though)
