Hertz - Will rate change if I return a weekly rental a day early?

I have reserved a weekly rental and applied a PC for weekly rentals. If I return the car a day early, will the rate I reserved still be applicable or will the return agent apply the daily rate as soon as they scan the barcode on the car when I return?

It will say on your contract, but it will probably drop you into the daily rates and the discount code will be removed.

If it puts you down to 4 days, then you'll be out for sure, will go to daily rates and you won't get the PC.
But, if you mean you rented for 7 days and returning after 6 (or 6 days and returning after 5), you should be fine. Weekly requires a 5-day keep. "5 days" given how extra hours price should only be 4 days plus a few hours.
Oh, the other part I'm forgetting is weekly I think may have to go over a weekend. Anyone try to book a Monday morning-Friday evening as a weekly? Does that work, or do you get a 5-day daily rate doing that?

You should be fine. I don't think I ever saw a weekly rate change to daily after six days. As someone already stated, five days is the weekly rate minimum.
In regards to the Monday morning through Friday evening question - you should be on weekly. I have seen the website price some of those rentals as daily but you should be able to change it under the section where it allows PC's, CDP's, and rate codes to be applied.
There should be a "D" somewhere in your rate code and you just need to change it to a "W" and re-submit it. A common daily code is MCLD. The weekly version is MCLW.
