I noticed on the Trip Advisor Florence forum that there may be a general transport strike on October 23 that includes planes, trains and local transport. The air portion is scheduled to start at 8:00 am on the 23rd. The trains will have a 4 hour shutdown starting at 11:00 AM. We're monitoring the situation as we're scheduled to arive in Rome at 7:00 AM on the 23rd from Boston. We contacted Alitalia yesterday and they anticipated no departure delay from Boston. We will continue to monitor.
