Just read this in a newsforum:
An Air Transat Airbus A310-300, registration C-GVAT performing flight TS-142 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to London Gatwick,EN (UK) with 255 passengers, was enroute at FL350 about 450nm northeast of St. John's,NL (Canada), when the crew reported a cracked windshield, descended to FL250 and decided to divert St. John's. The airplane landed safely 95 minutes later.
The passengers were taken to local hotels. A maintenance crew has been dispatched to St. John's. The airline expects the airplane to depart again with a delay of 14 hours.
