I know of the following, but what others are there?

STARWOOD (Typical Starpoint Value: 1-2.5 cents each)

- Starwood Amex [$45 annual fee] - Earns 1 Starpoint/$ Everywhere, 2 Starpoints/$ at Starwood, Earn Gold Status with $30k/year spend.

HILTON (Typical HHonor Point Value: 0.5 - 1 cent each)

- Hilton Amex [no annual fee] - Earns 3 HHonors/$ Everywhere, 6 HHonors/$ in everyday categories, Earn Gold Status with $20k/year spend.

- Hilton Surpass Amex [$75 annual fee] - Earns 3 HHonors/$ Everywhere, 6 HHonors/$ in everyday categories, 9 HHonors/$ at Hilton, Earn Gold Status with $20k/year spend and Diamond with $40k/year spend.

Do any of the other brands have cards with substantial point or status earning possibilities?

I know InterContinental, Marrriott (which has several card options some of which give you certain # of nights towards status) Choice, Wyndham, La Quinta, Carlson (GoldpointsPlus) and Best Western all have credit cards. If I remember correctly the cards of those chains are typically only good options IF you use them to pay for stays at their hotels. I think the earning potential for everyday charges is not that great but I would suggest you search the various forums and also look at the earnings potential for the cards on the hotel websites. Sadly (or luckily depending on who you ask) Hyatt does not offer a credit card option.

Hyatt does not offer a credit card option.

It is, however, possible to earn Gold Passport points with Diners Club Mastercard, but only if you already have the card because Citi is not accepting applications at present.
