JFK-ICN 777 Boarded new Business Class cabin (main cabin). Most of the cabin was empty. Color a bit brighter than the older Prestige class. Pre-flight drinks the same water, juice, champagne. As soon as airbourne, menus, no amenity kits (bathroom has toothbrush, shaving cream, mouthwash). You can ask for an eye cover. Meal service the same Korean and two "American" choices. Wine selection a bit limited two Reds, two Whites, one Champagne.
Seat:
Clear more comfortable than the on Prestige Sleeper, 180 flat and horizontal. Was able to comfortably sleep for 8 out of 14 hours. Much larger AVOD screen and more clear picture, easier remote to navigate. Seat movement also makes less noise than the Prestige Plus seat, when changing settings.

Returned ICN-JFK 747, upperdeck. I do prefer the 747 to the 777 in terms of plane, less turbulence, cozier on upper deck. Prestige Plus seat, although flat the tilt makes it more uncomfortable. The service the same as above, except they brought out a few the amenity items individually including a refeshing spring water mist.

Overall excellent service, on time, excellent fights. Prestige Sleeper better than Prestige Plus. 747 better than 777, in my opinion.

So are the 777 and 747 operating different J seating? In addition is Y the same on both aircraft?

I understand what you mean about the 747. I dont know why but I to enjoy it more than a 777

Interesting review. Money well spent for KE, as long as new J is better in many aspects.

bundi404: for JFK route, 777 and 747 has different F/C/Y. Y is also upgraded a bit on 777 (actually 773ER).

The cabin and seat, AVOD is much better. I just prefer the 747 to the 773

dose anyone have any idea if KE is actually updating their fleets to eventually have R and J seats on all long-haul routes (774s and 772s), or are they just going to have R and J seats on the new 773ER only.

And not Amenity Kits? That's weak!

they plan to refurbish their 777-200ER's, 777-300's, 330-300's and 330-200's. I don't know about the 747's. I doubt it.

anyone know when the first 330-300 will have new seats???

Does anyone have any information on the schedule when it comes to the refurbish? Like are we talking months or years here?
