Hi,
Was wondering if you guys could help me out.

There is an outgoing flight from SFO to Vegas.

The current booking rate is for Main Cabin regular seats. However, there are no regular seats left to select, just the premium ones in the front row (which is $93 extra). But, on the website, it allows you to pay for the regular seat rate. If I book at the regular rate WITHOUT selecting the seat, am I guaranteed a seat on the plane? Or is it like stand-by with no guarantees?

I want the seat for sure and can pay their regular rate, I just don't want to pay for a premium seat.

TIA!

You are guaranteed a seat. VX does not overbook. If nobody else cancels or upgrades, you would likely be put in row 4, which is reserved for airport check-in.

If you look at a flight far in advance, you can see which seats are reserved for the airport, because they will be blocked out (while all of the rest are available). You would be put in one of those seats, with row 4 being the preferred row.

Actually, I'll make it easier:

On the A320, the blocked seats are: 4ABCDEF, 9ABCDEF, 25DEF, 26ABC

On the A319, the blocked seats are: 4ABCDEF, 9ABCDEF, 21ABC
