My family are flying AF Affaires from JFK to CDG, departing at 22.45. In view of this late departure time, are we likely to be able to eat dinner in the lounge as I doubt they'll serve dinner upon boarding.

However, you can have some food also at the Af T1 lounge. botham Oct 12, 09, 5:24 pm of course they will serve dinner onboard, i take the 23:35 every 2 months cdg rio and its a normal meal......what do you think, they will throw you a blanket and say goodnight - lay off the easy jet - it aint that bad ..........yet ;) I thought it a perfectly reasonable question, but then again I usually frequent the BA forum.:) I would far rather fly JFK to LHR direct, on Delta, but so far there is no award availability. tff Oct 12, 09, 7:14 pm Apart from onboard dinner (which will be the rushed service due to the late hour), you'll be able to eat at the lounge. They serve a supper which includes (at least) soup, some warm sandwiches and other warm items (such as, eg, pies), as well as sushi rolls. Cheese, desserts and veggies are also available. Enjoy your trip! brunos Oct 12, 09, 8:17 pm of course they will serve dinner onboard, i take the 23:35 every 2 months cdg rio and its a normal meal......what do you think, they will throw you a blanket and say goodnight - lay off the easy jet - it aint that bad ..........yet ;) No they don'ton JFK-CDG ! They only serve supper onboard. A limited version of the dinner with few choices and rushed service. The situation is even worse in Première. Then they serve breakfast. Situation is somewhat different when you fly exCDG westward, as this is a long night with time difference and duration of flight. When you fly eastward, it is a very short night with the time difference and AF serves two"meals" (supper and breakfast). af fp Oct 13, 09, 2:23 pm The onboard rushed service is decent and adequate as most passengers want to sleep a little on this very short flight. The food offering in the lounge is minimal, but allows you to skip the dinner if necessary. I like to eat in the lounge, and get a small breakfast in a lounge if I have time on arrival so I can sleep/relax during the whole flight. |
