Emirates Airlines Skywards - Al Jazeira from DXB

For all my sins I am flying Al Jazeira to BAH on Thursday on an Easy ticket:confused:
I have just noticed on the website that check in desks in every country except DXB and CAI close 45 mins before departure, however in DXB it's 4 hours before departure?
IS THIS TRUE? and if so WHY? Has anyone else flown with them? There is a group of us flying there for the weekend!

Flew J9 to BAH last Thursday 9.35am Flight checked in 1.5hrs before and had no issue. J9 is not to bad but on board food is expensive for what you get. Seats are also ok for the flight of 50 mins. I hope it has not changed to 4hrs

Lets hope not, I think we will just rock up 2 hours before and see how we get on! Am hoping of course to use a lounge somewhere, we have three Priority Passes between us, 3 Gold MS and VS and 2 Plat AMMEX so we should get somewhere, if not Irish Village here we come!

Good point - I have no idea! I assummed it was T1..

It certainly was T1 in the past. I took them a few times up to KWI and back from DXB a couple of years ago and had no complaints at all. New airbuses (at least they were then) and service was fine for the length of flight. I dunno if they do Jazeera plus these days but it was the only seat i could get on one weekend flight and it was fine. No paying for snacks, though admittedly thats all they were. They were way better than Kuwait Airways and a lot cheaper than EK on the route!

Jazeera Airways operates from T1. I check in around 90 minutes from DXB. But if you're travelling with people I'd go for 2 hours so you spend more time at the Irish Village (incidentally, I have to stop there when travelling from T1, if only for a drink :D ).

It was from T1, and all went well, used the irish Village before departure, and the Dimon Lounge in BAH. Was quite bizzare, most of the pax on Thursday's flight, were on the return on Saturday!
GF are offering VERY cheap fares BAH-DXB-BAH to compete with the Al Jazeaira fares - but only from BAH.
Have to say, for the price we pais was VERY impressed!
