Discover called today. Wanted to know if the cast couple of cahrges at the grocery stares we ALWAYS use were legit. They didn't even name the stores. When I said legit, the rep immediately launched into a sales pitch for more Discover services.
Is this a new scam? A sales pitch disguised as a security call? This is the only security call I've ever had from them, and I've held Discover since it was a Sears card. The charges about which they asked were the most mundane - hometown groceries.
Or is it the call equivalent of an envelope stuffer? They are calling anyway, why not try a little sales pitch while they have my attention?
