I'm sure someone will advise if there is a better board to put this.
Our family of 3 is redeeming UAL award miles for LAX-BKK-LAX in late November. Because of a work requirement, 2 of the 3 have to return to LAX early and could only get on the non-stop TG flight as no UAL award seats were available. All three of us are eligible for E+ on UAL for varying reasons and are seated together on the LAX-BKK flight.
No seating was offered or assigned for the TG flight coming back. Is it possible to obtain seating in advance or are the 2 passengers stuck with waiting until they get to BKK for their flight?
Another possibility: we are taking a TG flight to Chiang Mai in the middle of our trip. Would it be possible to arrange BKK-LAX seating while in the BKK airport en route to Chiang Mai?
Lastly, and a long shot, will the UAL E+ eligibility help us at all in seat selection on the BKK-LAX TG flight?
