Good news: Just received an email offering a very generous amount of bonus points for getting a HH AMEX. (No offer code # but it was addressed to me personally.)
Bad news: I just received my new HH AMEX this week under a more generic bonus offer.
I've already called AMEX concerning this and the CSR was very upbeat and positive but in the end she was just submitting an inquiry into the matter and will let me know in 5-10 business days what, or if, they will do anything for me.
I would let it go if I'd come across this offer a couple months or more after I already had the card, but an offer sent to me personally within days of receiving the other one?
Question: Just curious as to anyone else's experience in this situation. Does AMEX have a usual protocol here? What are the odds they will slip my new card under that more generous offer?
