Hey guys and girls
Im flying CPH-ZRH-LAX-HNL in business class. The CPH-ZRG leg is I can chose from SAS and LX - what would you pick?
And does any now how many EB-points the whole trip will give me?
On swiss.com it says 27.672 without the LAX-HNL leg, but thats with miles and more - is it the same amount with EB?
Thanks :)

I'd take SAS for the short haul flight to get significantly more points.

Points you are likely to earn are:
1600+11800+5000 (if you fly *A to HNL) one way. That would be 36800 in total. Could be 200-300 more, depends on how SAS rounds up points for flights to the nearest hundred.

1600 for CPH-ZRH might be more if have silver or gold status with SAS. I guess it would be 1200 SAS points if you fly LX.

SAS is rounding up the miles to the nearest hundred.

So in biz with LX CPH-ZRH you will get 1200 points (591 miles = 600*2), ZRH-LAX is 5938 miles, 6000*2 points. LAX-HNL is 2556, 2600*2. A total of 18 400 each way, 36 800 points for the roundtrip.

BFN;)

Whatever you do, don't book any codeshares for the CPH-ZRH segment. LX flight number but SK metal will yield 0 points.

As posted above, I'd go with SK if the timings aren't too bad.

Oh that would be stupid then. The timing is fine. If I go on the sk flight it gives me one more h. in zrh in both directions. Will go for the sk then. And dont minde to support SAS a bit, its a shame they done serve LAX anylonger.

Ok this was really important. Plz explain this to me?
Im booking the ticket on swiss.com and when a select the flights I can chose from either LX1267 operated bu LX or LX4661* (This is a codeshare flight. Please click on the flight number for more details. For special services and luggage the conditions of the operating carrier apply. Use the Mileage Calculator to check how many miles you will earn.) Its operated by SAS. And the same on the return I have the same options. Soooo what do I do??? Guess the sas metal flight is codeshare and wont give my any points then???

I was referring to this (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sas-eurobonus/583764-accrual-swiss-careful.html) thread which is old but AFAIK the situation is still the same. Actually there's some evidence down that thread that LX codeshare on SK metal will post some points, but an incorrect number.

Be careful anyway. If possible, try to book the SK flights with SK flight number - might be possible by using some other booking tool than LX's site, maybe wideroe.no could price it properly?

Remember that ZRH-LAX on LX is the old A340, they haven't upgraded their C yet.

I know, its a shame that LX didnt reefit their longest routes first. But they have by fare the best price in J and then I hope that I can upgrade to F... And I dont finde their seats that bad - think they are better that LH and allmost as good as SAS so wont minde - as longe as i sint have to be stucked in Eco :)

Well it says on sas.dk: Du optjener Basispoint, og du kan bruge point på flyvninger med SWISS, undtagen charter-flyvninger og flyvninger, der beflyves af andre flyselskaber på vegne af SWISS - in english its: You earn Basicpoint on all Swiss flights except Swiss charter-flights and flights operated by another company than swiss on their behalf...
Wow guess that means that a swiss flight from CPH-ZRH with a LX-flight-code operated by SAS gives 0!!! points...
Must call eurobonus and ask if thats really the case here!!!

Thanks for noticing me!
