Asiana Club - Earliest possible checkin at LHR?

Hello. I'm travelling, with spouse and kid, on OZ to ICN (& on to SYD) later this year from LHR. It's a big family holiday :) and we'd quite like some time to relax and shop at LHR. When I spoke to OZ's London offce today, they told
me that checkin opens 2 hours before departure for their LHR service.

That seems a little tight to me for checking in and loading a full 777's worth of pax, but I'm sure they know what they're doing!

Can anyone who's actually travelled from LHR recently confirm if this is the reality - no option to checkin until 2 hrs before? I'm travelling in C, not that I expect that to make a difference.

not my experience- usually opens by 6, latest.
I've had checkin opened specially for me at around 5:45.
C will make lots of difference -if only your access to the *A lounge at T1.
As for the actual loading, beware OZ goes from gate 33 million ( joke) but it is probably 58, a good 10-15 walk from cwntral area. I've watched them board a full 777 in less than 20 mins -you will, of course, get your own boarding line in any event.

Have you successfully gained access to No. 1 Heathrow on a C ticket without FF status, BTW?

no, sorry, I'm LH SEN, so don't know about non-status.
My colleague came in "under my wing". However I THINK it's for C pax as well.

we went into *A Gold lounge, not BMI No1. You can, too. IMHO, it's nicer than the BMI one. You can go into the BMI insteadl, I'm sure, as it's open to FF and C pax
