Why on the prepaid fuel options do you always claim that the car holds more fuel than it actually does? For instance you claim that a ford focus holds 60 litres when it actually holds closer to 50. spades097 Oct 8, 09, 6:16 pm Hertz does not make up the numbers for pre-paid fuel. The tank capacity is taken from the manufacturer's manual. For example, if you go to Ford's website and look up a Focus, it says it holds 13.5 gallons or 60 liters. http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/focussedan/specifications/capacities/ Tuneman1984 Oct 8, 09, 10:18 pm Hertz does not make up the numbers for pre-paid fuel. I rented at DFW last week. Requested Sirius but the car I was assigned didn't have it. The lady said the only thing was a Kia Sorento SUV. I told her I don't like SUV. She said SUV or no Sirius. The lady next to her said I could choose a G6 or a Fusion, they both have Sirius. Why did lady #1 not offer that? They have access to the same screens. I also don't like the complementary upgrades into gas guzzlers. I was "upgraded" to one of those Hyundai SUVs that, pushing along a strong cold front, got 16 MPG when I was doing a 1-day 200 mile roadtrip. A nice Fusion or Focus would have been almost 30 MPG, and that's what I reserved. maltasr Oct 9, 09, 12:11 am I want to rent a car at HNL on Dec. 04 and drop it off at Ko'Olina Marriott on Dec. 07 or thereabouts. Are these two locations considered to be co-terminals and, if so, what is the best rate I can get on a three day rental? I know that Hertz has an office at the Ko'Olina property. What do you recommend in order to avoid the daily parking charge by the hotel/vacation club while we are spending one week at the Marriott Vacation Club there? We are checking out Dec. 11 and would actually prefer keeping the car in order to return it to the airport location on the way home. Thank you. hertzisthe devil Oct 9, 09, 7:10 am I know there are so many things on the minds of car renters. Please, ask me anything..... Tell me about the personal Insurance which is supposed to cover me in the event of injury and also any items that are stolen from my vehicle. It only seems to cover about $1000 worth of medical expensise, so they pay for a bandage and some pain killers while I foot the rest of the bill. The personal effect coverage does not cover Cash, credit cards, electronic equipment (i.e. camera, phone, gps or whatever else runs on electricity/batteries), jewelery, art or anything else that can be considered valuable. What the hell does it cover? My dirty Laundry perhaps? spineangel Oct 9, 09, 8:01 am Question: Are you the former Hertz4me? hertzisthe devil Oct 9, 09, 9:00 am Question: Are you the former Hertz4me? No, the former Hertz4me is still Hertz4me. Hertz4me Oct 9, 09, 8:27 pm Wass up :) honest opinionator Oct 9, 09, 9:07 pm I hear ya, If it was an airport Hertz you were at it seems that while the one lady was pushing an SUV, smaller vehicles were most likely ready after the VSA's cleaned and serviced them. The second lady must have seen the smaller vehicles ready on her screen. I am not aware of any Hertz location pushing free upgrades into small or larger SUV's. maltasr Oct 16, 09, 12:36 am I want to rent a car at HNL on Dec. 04 and drop it off at Ko'Olina Marriott on Dec. 07 or thereabouts.
