I'm looking at the Chase Continental Airlines World MasterCard specifically for the 20000 mile bonus upon first purchase/use, 5000 after purchase/use with authorized user. Also in the terms, there is a statement, "This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time Continental Airlines personal card members with new accounts. Existing Continental Airlines personal card members/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.".

I had at the Presidential Pres CO CC for a while but canceled it months ago cause it wasn't worth the annual fee. I assume I'm now ineligible for this bonus offer?? Can someone please confirm this??

I need about 25,000 more miles so I can book a reward flight to Europe in March and I'm looking for the best way to do it. Should I consider the Preferred Debit/Checking offer?? I don't believe they have a clause about existing or pre-existing card members.

Thanks for the help.

You should do the debit card offer. It is a pretty good deal and if you set up direct deposit or make 5 pin transactions per month there is no monthy fee (normally $6). You only have to deposit $100 and pay the annual fee of (I think) $25.
